F-15 Wind Tunnel Thrust/Drag Models

Jack Abercrombie (Who later served as Chief Aerodynamicist for MDC) sent along this interesting chart of F-15 Thrust/Drag models. Jack prepared this chart as part of a paper he presented in Paris at a NATO AGARD conference in Oct 1977. Of particular interest to me was the illustration of two different methods of mounting the models to the “sting”. I have a photo of the lower 4.7% Jet Effects front mount with faired inlets in my earlier post here.
