The Aircraft of Lambert Field Articles

John Brooks published three articles in Crazed Plastic #13, 14, and 16, detailing the military aircraft at Lambert Field from 1946 to 1963. These included Naval Air Station St. Louis and the 110th Squadron of the Missouri Air National Guard. I have listed all three articles under one heading for your convenience.

Crazed Plastic (CP) published several articles by an author named “Fatz”. These articles were on projected Lockheed aircraft that didn’t make the cut. Fatz was a former Lockheed employee who did similar articles for other International Plastic Model Society (IPMS) publications such as “Flying Tiger” and “Dirty Plastic”. McDonnell Aircraft Model 260

A 1970’s  McDonnell Douglas serious proposal for a Multimission V/STOL aircraft of family. (I remember that a lot of work went into this project!)

QF-100 Drone Color and Markings and Photos

Another Crazed Plastic (CP) article from CP #17 by Ron Downey. I was treated to a Holloman AFB QF-100 conversion tour by Link Parker of Sperry Flight Systems in 1981 and follow-up at Tyndall AFB in 1983. This is the CP article and other photos from the QF-100 conversions.
