In response to a U.S. Navy request, McDonnell Aircraft proposed several jet-propelled "VF" (fighter) designs in the mid-1950s that ultimately led to the development of the F-4 Phantom II. The recommendations evolved from the F3H Demon and were initially rejected, but McDonnell's persistence and design modifications resulted in one of the most successful combat aircraft in history. Hello. A number of documents indicate they have been deleted when attempting to download from Docdroid, so not accessible. I realize your site graciously provides interesting documents at no obligation, but just thought I'd mention it.
