Curtiss company phoios of the first A-25 aircraft.
The Curtiss A-25 Shrike was a single-engine, two-seat dive bomber. A modified version of the U.S. Navy's new SB2C Helldiver, the U.S. Army Air Corps ordered 100 A-25s in 1940. The U.S. Army Air Forces ordered 3,000 in February 1942 and Curtiss manufactured 900 before cancellation. The USAAF subsequently transferred 410 A-25s to the U.S. Marine Corps. Of those remaining in USAAF service, some flew as trainers or light personnel and cargo transports, and none in combat service. Note: this is a large file!

Copies of the McDonnell Douglas DC-X Delta Clipper prototype Photos and Info.
From Wikipedia:
The DC-X, short for Delta Clipper or Delta Clipper Experimental, was an uncrewed prototype of a reusable single-stage-to-orbit launch vehicle built by McDonnell Douglas in conjunction with the United States Department of Defense's Strategic Defense Initiative Organization (SDIO) from 1991 to 1993. Starting 1994 until 1995, testing continued through funding of the US civil space agency NASA.[1] In 1996, the DC-X technology was completely transferred to NASA, which upgraded the design for improved performance to create the DC-XA. After a test flight of DC-XA in 1996 resulted in a fire, the project was canceled. Despite its cancellation, the program inspired later reusable launch systems. Michael D. Griffin has since praised the program as "government R&D at its finest."[2]
Blue Origin's New Shepard and SpaceX's Falcon 9 reusable launch vehicles were inspired by the DC-X, with many of the same engineers involved. Elon Musk has noted his program was "just continuing the great work of the DC-X project."

I won’t be using Docdroid.com to store my files for your download as they raised their rate from $4.00/mo to $20.00/mo.
So, I am looking for a new PDF and ZIP storage website.
Any feedback from my readers would be appreciated. Free would be best!
Drop me a note at aviationarchives(at)gmail.com if you have a favorite.
Thanks,

In response to a U.S. Navy request, McDonnell Aircraft proposed several jet-propelled "VF" (fighter) designs in the mid-1950s that ultimately led to the development of the F-4 Phantom II. The recommendations evolved from the F3H Demon and were initially rejected, but McDonnell's persistence and design modifications resulted in one of the most successful combat aircraft in history.
