McDonnell Douglas Model 253 VSTOL

The McDonnell Douglas Model 253 was developed to try to adapt a VTOL fan system to a productive aircraft. Here we have an artist’s drawing and a general arrangement drawing. Both drawings are from the H.J. "Mike" de Garcia collection via Mark Nankivil at the Greater St. Louis Air and Space Museum.
